Division Information
 The structure of the festival will consist of the following eleven divisions:
| Jr. High (grades 6-8) band/vocal | unlimited enrollment |
| Division A (band) | up to 650enrollment (9-12) |
| Division AA (band) | 651 to 1300 enrollment (9-12) |
| Division AAA (band) | 1301 and above (9-12) |
| Area "Miking" Division I | Smaller schools enrolled (9-12) |
| Area "Miking" Division II | Larger schools enrolled (9-12) |
| Close "Miking" Division I | Smaller schools enrolled (9-12) |
| Close "Miking" Division II | Larger schools enrolled (9-12) |
| Combos | unlimited enrollment |
| Vocal Soloist - with "Live" or "Canned" Rhythm Section | unlimited enrollment |
Divisions will be based on enrollment of the upper four grades. In case of a lack of entries in a specific division, the festival director reserves the right to change the divisional school size classification or eliminate the division. The schools affected will be consulted before any changes occur. If there aren’t a minimum of three schools participating per division, the division will be eliminated.
Vocal Divisions are divided by the number of entries received and individual school enrollment.
Divisions are categorized by the prior year OSAA Member Schools Average Daily Membership Report.
Each group will have a 25 minute time block, structured in the following manner:
15-20 minutes - set up and perform
5-10 minutes - work with adjudicators
Instrumental combos will have 20 minutes for set up and performance and work with adjudicator. It is suggested that vocal soloists perform 2 contrasting jazz pieces as they will have only 15 minutes to set up, perform and work with adjudicator.
